"Now that was not fair at all , no sound , no nick in hotspot , then why was he given out ,really sad , its like umpires always prefer the aussies , same thing happened when India toured Australia. If you are not going to use the technology , then why pretend you are reviewing it. anyways, well fought West Indies."

Australian 1st Innings- Ricky Ponting (17) given not out by Mark Benson - Ponting attempted a leg glance off his pads while facing the medium pacers of Sourav Ganguly. He edged it back to wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The appeal was turned down by the umpire. Ponting went on to score 55 runs.
- Andrew Symonds (30) given not out by Steve Bucknor - Symonds attempted a push outside off to the bowling of Ishant Sharma, but managed to edge the ball to the wicketkeeper Dhoni. The Indian appeal for caught behind was turned down by Bucknor. Symonds went on to score 162*.
- Andrew Symonds (48) given not out by third umpire Bruce Oxenford - Symonds lifted his back foot while beaten by Anil Kumble, Dhoni appealed for a stumping which was referred to the third umpire. While analysing the video replays, Channel Nine commentators Mark Taylor, Michael Slater and Ian Healy speculated that it was out. The 3rd umpire turned down the appeal, commentators at Cricinfo saying "in by a whisker, make that half a whisker". Symonds went on to score 162*.
- Andrew Symonds (148) given not out by Steve Bucknor - Symonds attempted to slide his back-foot into the crease when beaten by Harbhajan Singh, Dhoni appealed for a stumping but Bucknor did not pass the request to the third umpire, adjudging Symonds not out. Cricinfo commentators said "he just appeared to have some part of his foot grounded behind the line". Symonds went on to score 162*.
Indian 1st innings- Wasim Jaffer (3) given out by Mark Benson - Jaffer bowled by a yorker from Brett Lee. Replays show that Lee's front foot was outside the crease which would make it a no ball.
Australian 2nd Innings- Michael Hussey (22) given not out by Mark Benson - Hussey is struck on the inside of the right pad deep in the crease off a ball that turned and kept low off the bowling of Anil Kumble. Hussey went on to score 145*.
- Michael Hussey (45) given not out by Mark Benson - Hussey turns the full face of the bat to the leg side and gets a fine touch to wicket-keeper Dhoni off the bowling of Rudra Pratap Singh. Hussey went on to score 145*.
- Andrew Symonds (0) given not out by Steve Bucknor - Symonds was struck on the front pad by a top-spinner from Kumble on his hat trick ball. Bucknor adjudged it not out. Kumble missed out on a hat trick. Symonds went on to score 61.
Indian 2nd innings- Rahul Dravid (38) given out by Steve Bucknor - Dravid tucked bat and glove behind his pads as he successfully padded away a delivery from Andrew Symonds. Adam Gilchrist caught the ball and appealed for caught behind and Bucknor gave it out. Replays revealed a small deflection of the pads going almost straight into Gilchrist's hands.
- Sourav Ganguly (51) given out by Mark Benson - Whilst the TV evidence was inconclusive as to the correctness of the decision, the manner in which it was delivered has generated controversy. Sourav Ganguly edged the ball to Michael Clarke at slip who was engulfed by his team-mates in celebration of an apparent catch. Umpire Benson appeared unsure as to whether it carried and instead of referring to third umpire asked captain Ricky Ponting for clarification. There was a prior agreement between the teams that the fielders would be honest about whether the catch had carried. Ponting, having already consulted Clarke about the validity of the catch, raised his finger, telling the umpire that he thought the catch was cleanly taken. He came under criticism for claiming the catch on behalf of his fielder while he was himself not sure about it. He had earlier appealed for another dubious catch off M.S. Dhoni, when TV replays suggested the ball had touched the ground while he was diving. TV replays were inconclusive about whether ball touched the ground for Ganguly catch as well, in which case the batsman normally gets the benefit of the doubt.

Whether it is false appealing, acting up as an umpire, arrogant behavior or even arguments with umpires, you would always find Ricky Ponting at the top of it.
Sydney Test 2008 (Ind vs Aus) : Ponting Raised His Finger and made umpire to accept his own "umpiring" decision off a falsely claimed bounced catch of Michael Clarke.

Ricky Ponting Caught Using Illegal Graphite Bat (2006): ICC Claimed that Ponting is using Illegal Bat made up of Graphite to score easy runs that help big time in hitting big boundaries and sixes but wasn't banned and rather was allowed to use it with just a sound of warning, same type of bat he used in 2003 world cup against India.

Ricky Ponting Argued With Umpire In Ashes 2010: Clearly Wanted Umpire (Aleem Dar) to change his correct and simply straight decision and started showing off his true colors in front of the world, making himself look rather stupid, as he is and always would be.
Finally, He Decided to Refer that Decision to third umpire and that clearly did show that Kevin Pieterson didn't edge the ball as there wasn't any sound and no evidence of edge was seen on hotspot as well.
Gilchrist 'Cheated' Using Hand Squash Ball in World Cup 2007 Final
Kangadaran Mathivanan, Sri Lanka Cricket's secretary, has said that Sri Lanka believe Adam Gilchrist's use of a squash ball in his left glove during the World Cup final was "unethical" and may take up the matter at the ICC annual general meeting in June."We are of the opinion that it was unethical for Gilchrist to use a squash ball to give unfair advantage," Mathivanan told AFP. He said Sri Lanka could call on the ICC's cricket committee for stringent application of Law 42 on fair and unfair play to ensure only the approved protection equipment was used. He said that SLC would discuss the issue before deciding whether to raise it in London.
The MCC who are the guardians of the Laws, said that Gilchrist had not done anything wrong. "Gilchrist's use of a squash ball was designed to alter his grip on the bat whilst at the crease," a spokesman said, "something which he was perfectly entitled to do under Law 3.6(c), which specifies only what external protective equipment is permitted for certain players."
The Laws sub-committee said: "The incident could not be classed either as contravening the Law or as breaching the Spirit of the Game."
Gilchrist scored a match-winning 149 against Sri Lanka in the final and later revealed his batting aid. "I had a squash ball in my bottom-hand to help with my grip in training and I decided in this World Cup to use it in a match."

Australian Bowler Stuart Clark Ball Tampering Against India @Melbourne Test
I would like to highlight the over before lunch on 29th Dec 07.Channel 9′s camera’s caught Stuart Clarke picking out the seam of the ball with his fingernail. Surrounded by Brett Lee and Andrew Symonds!(Hmm…interesting….wonder if that’s why he was so successful….)
There was a nervous murmur as the commentary team went dead at that moment for a few nervous seconds…..only then the stupid cameraman realised his folly and cut that frame out.
Guess Aussies are above the law, and don’t tamper balls and "there will be no investigation….."I saw, and 12 other people in the room saw this including the kids…..crying shame….they don’t need to do this to beat the Indians!!!
